The story in the press about the soldier turned away from a hotel in Woking is both an embarrassment for the hotel industry and a disgrace. Forget that it was a hotel receptionist who turned him away, somewhere somehow it appears the wrong message had been sent out by management. I hope that same managment is suitably ashamed and I would further hope that some gesture of contrition is made and fast.
